yes! i'm done finally. i find this one to be easier to make than sandrock sd one (i don't know, probably because that one was my first time doing this) here's a picture. [link]

thanks for the awesome papercraft! i had fun with it :squee: looking forward to your heavyarms papercraft :D

It looks so GREAT! Both of them together look really neat! :la: I'm glad you could find it easier! Maybe it's because you already got practice doing the SD (which is...kinda, the same process of build) or because I designed the Custom one before the SD... Whichever it is, it looks very awesome! Congratz!

Thank you for the compliment! Btw It'll come out...around the end of this year/next year. It'll come after D-Hell and Altron. Hope it's not a long wait!

Thanks! Okay, if this is the first time you ever do a papercraft, I would recommend doing something easier first, as for example a cubeecraft (do 2 or 3 [link] and then move on to an SD gundam.[link]) to get familiar with papercrafts.

OR, you could start directly with this gundam. (which I don't recommend because if I were to do this model without experience I would rage quit)

The first thing you have to do is download the file (link is in description), just decompress it with winrar, and there will be 3 files.
-1 PDF (which you have to print and cut out but the guide lines, then fold the flaps to glue them with other parts.)
-then you have the PDO which is basically the 3D model, but with all the separate parts as a kind of guide. (to open this file you'll need pepakura viewer [link])
-and then you have a text file, which just contains some details.

The thing is that I didn't make a tutorial of how each part is made, so that's why I wouldn't recommend building this papercraft if you've never had experience on papercraft. (Although I do admit that building difficult papercrafts give you a lot of experience, and you can learn a lot.)Hope that helped! and if you have any doubt ask me anytime! I might take some time to reply, but I will! :la:

Nope, none of my papercrafts are, sadly. I don't have the knowledge or ability to make them poseable, or movable, so it's like...a statue.

You're welcome :) and sadly...no :/ even if I designed it for the gundam to hold it on his hands, it would still be too heavy and it would fall. Every time I design something I try to keep the balance on the model so that it can stand by itself. Well...guess that's not relevant now, but I'm glad you still liked the model :3

So, I've never done papercraft before, but I love Gunpla. I'm a huge Sandrock fan and am really interested in trying to build this, I got the PDF downloaded and I can see it all, I just dont know how to build it. Are there instructions somewhere I havent looked? I can't wait to try this out!

well, you should download Pepakura to see the model.
[link]
just open the PDOs there, I think that'll help you a lot.
Btw, if you are not sure from which part to start (ex: leg, head, arm, etc) you can start by the one your like most. (I've designed each part like independent models, so that you only have to assemble each part with all the pieces and then glue them all)
Hope that could help you and post pics later :dummy:

Alright, @SneakyBunny86 the guide is on scraps I hope it can be of help. But re-reading the comments, I just read that you've never done a papercraft before...so....I would suggest starting by something easier, (I started making cubeecrafts first), and then made my first gundam (Strike Freedom) but hey, the thing is that there are many things you may not understand without Pepakura... :/
But I'll leave it to you, See you n_n
